Why Music?
I started playing the saxophone in sixth grade and since then music has played a large role in my life. I have struggled with anxiety and have found that I have an easier time expressing myself through music than words. I I have already been admitted to the UW Bachelor of Music program after auditioning in early 2021.

My prefered instrument is the baritone saxophone but I also play all of the other saxophones and flute. I specialize in playing classical saxophone repertiore, and also have experience playing jazz as well. I have played in jazz ensembles, wind ensembles, pep bands, saxophone quartets and more.

Some of my musical accomplishments include: being selected for the All Northwest Wind Ensemble, winning my regional Solo and Ensemble competition, and being awarded several music scholarships such as the Island Consort Young Musician's Scholarship.

Here at UW I am a member of the Wind Ensemble and Saxophone Quartet. I am excited to work with the music faculty and other music students.
