Math has always been one of my specialties.  Even in kindergarten, I was given the title of Counting Queen by my classmates. I enjoy how in math there are countless different methods to use to reach the solution. Math is a puzzle with infinite creative ways to reach the solution. I relish the exhilarating feeling I get after finishing a problem that I have been laboring over for hours. In high school I was a member of my schools Math Olympiad team and took all the math courses I could take. Now I am excited to further explore mathematics at the University of Washington.

Some of my mathematical accomplishments and activities include placing third in the state math Olympiad contest three times, several math scholarships including the AAUW STEM scholarship for being the top woman in math in my class, and math tutoring.

I am working towards applying to a variety of different mathematics degrees here at the University of Washinton. My top three choices are Applied Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Applied Mathematics, and General Mathematics.
