In the University of Washington Interdisiplinary Honors Program students get to participate in classes just for the honors students. There classes are much smaller and are more disscusion based I have found that discussion brings a whole new element to learning. One of my favorite aspects of intellectual conversation is how I get to see a subject through other people's eyes. I have not had the same experiences as everyone else, so getting their take on my ideas is valuable. I also think it is integral to be able to listen to opposing opinions. Although I cannot entirely agree with everyone's opinions, there is always something I can learn from them.
